Tamron has just announced a new version of their 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2 zoom lens for Nikon Z mirrorless cameras. This lens was originally designed for Sony E-mount cameras; it covers full-frame image sensors, it has a constant F/2.8 maximum aperture, and it features a fast VXD linear focus motor. So, let’s take a closer look at it! The Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD’s first version was launched in 2018 and was initially only available for Sony E-mount cameras. In 2021, Tamron released a G2 version of that lens with a revamped lens and optical design. In September 2022, Tamron started developing lenses for Nikon Z-mount mirrorless cameras. After the 35-150mm f/2-2.8 Di III VXD, Tamron recently announced that the 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2 zoom lens (codename: A063) will soon be available for Nikon Z cameras.
